Architectural Visualisation

In situ architectural visualisations for Ockham's Freemans Bay development, The Kubrick. Static and animated renders composited from drone footage into the real site, produced ahead of construction completion.
The work
The Kubrick is a 52-apartment development in Freemans Bay, named for Stanley Kubrick and designed around precision, detail, and a strong use of colour. When we came on to the project, the building existed on paper. Ockham needed to show buyers something real.
We started with the site. Drone footage of Pratt Street and the surrounding neighbourhood gave us the actual location to work with. The building was developed in 3D, textured and lit against the real environment, then composited into the captured footage. The goal was for The Kubrick to sit convincingly within Freemans Bay, readable at street level and from the air.
Static renders were produced for print and digital use across the sales campaign. Animated pieces extended the same material for the sales suite and video channels, putting the building in motion within its real context.
Getting the scale, the light, and the relationship to surrounding buildings right was the work. Freemans Bay is a neighbourhood people know well, so the visualisations had to hold up to that familiarity.
Outcome
Visualisations went straight into the active sales campaign for a 52-apartment development in one of Auckland's most sought-after inner suburbs.
